Hi everyone, yesterday evening Conor received a phone call from a hospital that is 2 hours away from us. The nurses knew that our organization helps children in need. They told Conor that they have a 6-month-old child who was abandoned in the hospital. Her name is Veronica; her dad passed away, and her mom is mentally ill and living on the streets in Accra. So Conor grabbed Diana and some cash, and they went to see the baby. Veronica is being taken care of well; the nurses really watch out for her and have taken her to their hearts, so Crosecause paid for nutrition, nappies, and a night carer who will stay with her in the hospital during the night for the next month. The decision is that Crosscause will continue to pay for her needs until Veronica is placed with a foster family. This is how OUR organization sorts things out.

This message was originally sent to our volunteer group by one of our team members who joined Conor on the trip to Ghana in April. We decided to share it so that everyone can gain a deeper understanding of Crosscause. Stay tuned for the next part tomorrow!
