SUPPORT FROM DUNDALK HELPING CROSSCAUSE HOUSE REFUGEES
Blackrock-based charity CrossCause are providing shelter and aid to Ukrainian refugees crossing into Romania, the Argus has learned.
CrossCause have been running an orphanage ‘Casa Bridget’ in Romania for over 20 years, where they work with children and adults who have physical and learning disabilities.
Now, the orphanage has become an important “transit post” for refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine by crossing over the border into Romania.
CrossCause founder Conor Hughes said they were “so delighted we could help people who are so desperately in need at this time.”
